Virtual competition has helped many get active and maintain accountability. Given this, Pregnant with Possibilities Resource Center (PPRC) is hosting a virtual month long walk/ run and you're invited to join us. Through your support you will be joining a large community of people coming together to raise money for PPRC’s programs and to assist families in need of essential baby items. These life-changing programs serve over 200 local families per year.
Fundraiser Details:
1. Upon registering you will be invited to download the NikeRun Club App. Through the app you can log miles and see the progress of other participants.
2. You can see everyone who is participating on FaceBook: After you register, we invite you to:
Post to “Walk miles in our shoes” FaceBook Event for the VIRTUAL Run/Walk. You will see who else is virtually attending.
You can also invite others to virtually join you for the month of August to track their miles or challenge others into a friendly competition.
We hope you’ll also ask friends/family to sponsor your Run/Walk and let them know they can give REAL help through this VIRTUAL event.
3. At 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2021 everyone can tune in together to the FaceBook Live kick off, before we start running/walking. This will be a 5 minute live stream to get everyone excited to start.
4. Everyone can post a picture of themselves daily on social media. Tag us we’ll add your progress to our stories daily. This will help motivate and encourage others to join in on the fun. Please use hashtag #PPRCruns or #Milesinourshoes
5. We will make a compilation video of all participants! Please send us a short 60 second clip about how you enjoyed the virtual walk/run fundraiser along with your progress by Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. EST. We will share this compilation video with Run/Walk participants, so everyone can see how they were one part of this big event. We will also share the video with the kids who participate in our programs, to show them how many people care about their well being.
